How is it being back in Palmerston North?

Being back in Palmerston North is so lovely, the majority of my family and friends still live within the area. There are many memories!

As we move into the colder, winter months do you have any advice to keep rooms warmer?

In the colder, winter months I would suggest using a blockout or thermal lining behind your curtain fabrics to give you that extra layer of insulation! It is also important to look at window treatments that are most suitable for each window or door to ensure there is a snug fit so no heat is lost from inside your home.

Where do you look for home/design inspiration?

I love that CurtainStudio has an in-house designer following global trends, there are always so many new and exciting fabrics and prints to choose from. I base my inspiration on what I see when I walk inside a customers house, I enjoy helping them create a look they will love by listening to their needs and offering a tailored selection of fabrics handpicked for their personal style and taste.

What styles & colours have you noticed trending lately?

In Palmerston North, the biggest trend at the moment is warmth and self-lined fabrics. Roman blinds are ideal for smaller windows when space is at a premium and also help with additional warmth! Trending elsewhere are still the grey tones, beautiful sheers on double tracks for sun-filtering during the day and privacy at night or roller blinds are still a popular, affordable option.

What would be your advice to anyone considering custom made curtains?
